    What is the Notification Center? 

    The Notification Center modernises how reminders and system updates are delivered in Act! by bringing traditional alarm pop-ups and new in-product notifications into a centralised, always-accessible experience inside the product. 

    Modernising how notifications work in Act! by moving reminders and updates into the product: 

    • Notifications are easier to find and manage in context
    • Interruptions are reduced compared to legacy pop-up alarms
    • Actions like opening, snoozing, or rescheduling are faster and more intuitive
    • Important information is less likely to be missed 

    The Notification Center creates a more consistent, reliable experience while preserving the reminder functionality customers rely on, just in a smarter and more flexible way.  

    Do I need to take any action before the change? 

    No action is required before the update goes live. Once the Notification Center is available, you'll be prompted by an in-app message to allow browser notifications. You simply need to open the new Notification Center by clicking the bell icon in the top right on the nav bar and opting in to browser notifications by clicking the Ask Me option.

     

     

    Your web browser will then prompt you to allow, click allow.

     

     

    Note: You must allow your browser to show notifications to be able to use the Notification Center feature. 

    That's it. You're all set to use the Notification Center and any Alarms that are due will show in the Alerts tab. 

     

    The General tab will display in-product notifications. In this first release we'll notify you here when a data import is complete and we'll build out more notifications in later releases.
